A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), aspirant vying for the Bayelsa State Assembly, Ekeremor Constituency II seat, Ebikebina Okorotie, has stated that those peddling false rumour of his withdrawal from the race are afraid of his enormous acceptability and chances to clinch the party ticket.

Ebikebina, who disclosed that the passion to uplift his constituent was the driving force and motivation of why he is in the race, described the rumor as the handiwork of mischief makers and desperate politicians who do not mean well for the people.

Speaking with newsmen, on Sunday in Yenagoa, Ebikebina noted that the Assembly will be a platform for him to contribute meaningfully to society and positively affect the lives of the people of Ekeremor Constituency two.

“I have over time been with my people, especially in their trying times, I know their problems and I have the ability to relate properly with them, i can drag government to provide solutions to their problems when voted in”

“Politics is about engagement and constructive conservations, the harmonization of all these conversations are supposed to be about the collective good of the people and not selfish interest of one individuals”

I hereby advice those spending their time and resources spreading rumors to rather dessipate their energies on engaging the people who they are expected to serve.

On his chances to win the PDP Assembly primaries, Ebikebina said it is the hands of God, stating that power comes from God alone.

He also seized the opportunity to appeal to the delegates and the leaders of the PDP in Ekeremor Constituency II, to field credible candidates that can win election for the party.
His words “I consider myself as one of the aspirants with great potentials, that will give our party victory; working with the leader of our party, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, I can assure you that if I am elected the candidate on May 7th 2022, PDP will reclaim the Ekeremor II House of Assembly seat”.

“Since I purchased my expression of interest and nomination forms, I have been actively engaging stakeholders and the delegates”

The party is supreme, be rest assured that I will follow the process to a logical conclusion and abide by the outcome and final decision made by the party, after the primaries because I am a loyal party man. I have not withdrawn, I am in the race to win” Okorotie added.
