Tarabina Inspects Angiama/Oporoma, Eniwari, Akaba/Okodi Road Projects, Commends Contractors

The Chairman of the Bayelsa State Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, Mcoren, on Wednesday, undertook an inspection tour of major ongoing infrastructure projects in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

Projects inspected include the Angiama/Oporoma bridge and road projects extending to Otuan and Oporoma communities, the Angiama/Eniwari road project, and the Akaba/Okodi road project.

During the inspection, Hon. Tarabina expressed satisfaction with the progress made by contractors handling the projects and reaffirmed the directorate’s resolve to ensure that all infrastructure developments across the state adhere strictly to approved standards and specifications.


“These projects are critical to the socioeconomic development of our state, especially in opening up the riverine communities. We shall continue to monitor and evaluate them to ensure timely and quality delivery,” the chairman stated.

He was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary of the Directorate, Engr. Sampson Igodo, board members, engineers, and other senior officials.

The tour forms part of the directorate’s routine oversight aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and quality in project execution across Bayelsa State.
