Former Member of the House of Representatives, businessman, entrepreneur, and politician, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, has described Governor Douye Diri as a focused and driven leader, poised to deliver all ongoing landmark projects in Bayelsa State.

Hon. Ogoriba made this known while felicitating with the people of the state on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of Governor Diri as the Chief Pilot of the Renewed Hope ASSURED Administration of Bayelsa State.

The former federal lawmaker and businessman said the governor, though in his second term, is still level-headed in governance and quality leadership, despite the approaching political season.

He noted that the state governor has always reemphasized and assured that he will not leave behind abandoned projects for his successor at the end of his administration.
Hon. Ogoriba stressed that due to the governor’s peaceful and unifying attributes, every part of the state is witnessing meaningful and transformational development, geared towards a lasting legacy for future generations.

The APC chieftain highlighted some of the landmark projects of Governor Diri to include the Sabagrigha-Polaku Bridge, which is already completed; the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, with a spur to Otuan community, which is steadily making huge progress; and the historic Phase One of the Nembe-Brass Road, all aimed at linking the hinterlands to the state capital.

Other projects, according to the former federal lawmaker, making headlines are the Ekeremor-Agge Road, with a spur to Peretorugbene; the iconic nine-storey civil servants’ secretariat building; the 25,000-seater world-class stadium; and the Glory Drive Road Phases One and Two, all fully mobilized with contractors on site.

Hon. Ogoriba also singled out the 60-megawatt gas turbine project of the present administration, which, after completion, will stimulate the state economy, enable small and medium-scale businesses to thrive, and equally open up the state for local and foreign investment.

According to the politician-cum-businessman, Bayelsa State will become the second state in Nigeria to have its independent power supply after Abia State, a deliberate move that will ease the cost of doing business in Yenagoa and the state at large.

He called on the governor to remain resolute and intentional in delivering the goods before the end of his two terms and added that if achieved, Governor Diri will be remembered as a game changer in Bayelsa State.
