2027: South South Coordinator of P-BAT Door to Door Movement Rallies Grassroots Support for Tinubu
The South South Coordinator of the P-BAT Door to Door Movement 2027, Pastor Reuben Wilson, has held an expanded meeting with executives and members of the movement at its Zonal Secretariat in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
The meeting brought together State Coordinators, Senatorial District Coordinators, Local Government Coordinators, Ward Coordinators and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to review the movement’s grassroots structure and chart the way forward ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.
Addressing the coordinators, Pastor Wilson charged them to be committed, united and resolute in mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urged them to strengthen their structures and take the message of the movement to the grassroots.
“We invited them to talk to them to go down to educate our people in the communities on the reasons why Mr. President must return as President for a second term. The faces here are well known, strong politicians and all of us have agreed that we have to go to our communities and educate them about the reforms of Mr. President because P-BAT is about Door to Door,” Wilson said.
“Bayelsa is for APC to win no matter the political parties we are seeing.”
Pastor Wilson reaffirmed the commitment of the Grand Patron and founder of the movement, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, to support the movement until victory is achieved for President Tinubu in 2027.
“If you are being appointed to any position in P-BAT Door to Door Movement, you must be ready to work by giving your best. You must not wait for money to come before you work. We know your capacity, we know your strength on how to move to go and tell those at the grassroots the reason why they must vote for Mr. President because I believe in our party, I believe in our President and I believe in Door to Door,” he stated.
Other coordinators at the meeting expressed support for the initiative and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization across the senatorial districts, local government areas and wards.
They cited the various reforms of the Tinubu administration as reasons for their support, maintaining that the reforms would encourage Nigerians to give the President another mandate in 2027.
Speaking, the member representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Dr. Daniel Charles, said: “In Bayelsa, there is no vacancy for any candidate, it is President Tinubu alone. We are not just working at the state level alone but at the local governments and unit levels where everybody is involved.”
Also speaking, Preye Agama said youths were eager to be involved in anything associated with Tompolo.
“Anything that involves the name of Tompolo, youths want to be involved and are ready to support such cause. The South South region will give Mr. President 90 per cent votes,” Agama said. “We are not just appreciating him but that he recognizes the youths and they are part of the system.”
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the Bayelsa State leadership and coordinators of the P-BAT Door to Door Movement to strengthen grassroots mobilization and work collectively to achieve its mandate.
