The President of the Azikel Group, Dr. Azibapu Eruani has lauded the Nigeria Police Force for their commitment to the nation, and enjoined them to redouble their service and sacrifices to arrest insecurity ranging from kidnapping, menace of Boko Haram, banditry and rampaging herdsmen attack on the citizenry.

This, Dr. Eruani, said while decorating eight newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Police Force at the Operational Base of Azikel Group in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

Represented by the Executive Director, Operation, Mr. Presley Asemota, Dr. Eruani charged the 7 newly decorated Inspectors and Sergeant to see their promotion as a call to higher service,

He reiterated the need for them to be diligent in the discharge of their duties in promoting a crime free society in which Nigerians in all parts of the country would go about their lawful business without fear of being molested.

Dr. Eruani averred that they have become the cynosure of all and that to whom much is given a lot more is expected, noting that the citizenry is dependent on them to promote a better society.

Also Speaking, the Chief Suprintendent of Police, Egu Benjamin, charged them to be exemplary in their conduct, submitting that as newly promoted officers, stiffer punitive measures await any misdemeanor in the discharge of their duties.

He, however, wished them well in their new promotion and urged them to reciprocate the gesture of the Inspector-General of the Nigeria Police that found them worthy of the promotion.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officer, Inspector Isah Saidu thanked the Inspector-General of Police, President of Azikel Group, the Executive Director, Operation, CSP Egu Benjamin and pledge more commitment and diligence in the discharge of their service to the nation.

Dignitaries at the event are the Human Resource Manager, Mrs. Woka Nsonwu Ugonma, Legal Officer, Barr. George Abu, Finance Officer, Mr. Sarumi Adams, CSO Raymond Amadi, Secretary, Jane Tony and the Media Assistant to the Group President, Mr. Ebipade Austin.
