Ijaw activist hails FG over award of pipeline surveillance contract to Tompolo
A formost Ijaw Acttivist and Youth Leader, Prince Kakas Amgbare has lend his voice to commended the Federal Government for the award of crude oil pipeline surveillance contract to the foremost Former Militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo.
Speaking with Journalists in Port Harcourt, Prince Kakas Amgbare described the decision as a welcome development and best for the collective interest of Niger Deltans and calls for it sustainance.
The formost Ijaw youth leader said, Chief Government Ekpemupolo Alias Tompolo have over time shown true commitment and capacity towards the wellbeing of Youths in Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large, as such he believes in his ability to deliver.
Describing the development as remarkable in the history of Ijaw nation, Prince Kakas Amgbare who is also a member of the Movement for Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality ( MOSIEND ) highlighted that, engagement of Tompolo will not only curb illegal bunkering activities but change the narratives for increase production of crude oil which is the main stay of country economy.
While calling on Youths and all well meaning persons in the region to give peace a chance and embrace the new development, prince Kakas asserted that, the surveillance job will creat employment opportunities, tackle security challenges, improved production crude oil amongst other benefits.
He however congratulated Chief Government Ekpemupolo Alias Tompolo for his new appointment as the Surveillance Director of the region from the Federal Government (PIA NNPC LIMITED). Saying, the appointment is a well deserved one, “Tompolo has worked tirelessly for the peace in the Niger Delta and protected the wealth of this nation in collaboration with other stakeholders over the time’.
” i commend and encourage him to put more of his unflinching commitment into collaboration with the Federal government and other relevant agencies to develop the Ijaw nation”.
On the alleged plan protest by the Northern Youths under the Arewa Youths Assembly, the former Special Adviser on Youth Matters to the immediate past administration in Bayelsa state, cautioned them over the use unfriendly comments against the capacity of the Foremost Former Niger Delta Freedom Fighter, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo
Comrade Kakas who also served as Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization and later appointed Director General Centre for Youths Development and Industries to the first Civilian Governor, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, explained that, Niger Delta is a very critical component when it comes to Oil and Gas in this country considering our huge contribution to the nation economy through crude oil exploration.
He therefore, call for all hands to be on deck particularly the Ijaw National Congressman (INC), the Ijaw Youth Council IYC , other pressure groups as well as well meaning individuals in the region to rally round Tompolo, support him to succeed and vowed to reject any attempt by either groups or individuals against the awarded surveillance contract especially taking into cognisance the socio-economic challenges that the country is currently facing.#END#
