Flood: Abuja based NGO Mofeto Miracle Shurch donates relief materials to Bayelsa School

As the flood recede leaving behind its devastating effects, an Abuja based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Mofeto Miracle Shurch (MMS), has donated relief materials to flood ravaged Community Girls Secondary School (CGSS), Odi, in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The donation was facilitated by a renowned maritime media practitioner and veteran journalist, Mr. Asu Beks.

At the peak of the ravaging floods Mofeto Miracle Shurch (MMS) reached out to Mr. Asu Beks for information on any badly affected girls secondary school in the state.

Mr. Asu Beks inturn made his findings public via the whatsapp platform of Friends of Senator Douye Diri (FSDD), whereby a youth leader and community development activist, Comrade Preye J. Ketebu-Brown supplied the report of two schools, Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Kaiama and Community Girls Secondary School (CGSS), Odi.

After an analysis of the impacts on the two schools, the NGO opted to donate the materials to CGSS, Odi.

The materials were recently delivered to Bayelsa State Government via the Bayelsa State Liaison Office in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

As at the time of filing this report it was gathered that, arrangements are being made by Comrade Preye J. Ketebu-Brown to ensure safe and secure delivery of the materials to the school at Odi.
