Bayelsa: Abducted Sterling Bank Operations Manager regains freedom
The Operations Manager of Sterling Bank in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Nneka Enuka UgoAnochie has regained freedom from her abductors
Niger Delta Herald had last week reported that unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted the Mrs. Nneka Enuka UgoAnochie.
The incident, which occured around the PDP junction axis of the Isaac Boro expressway in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital caught many residents unaware due to the multiple presence of joint security check points along the expressway.
A close Police source however told the kidnappers were initially demanding N200m for her freedom but did not confirm how much was paid before she regained her freedom early this Tuesday morning.
The Police Commissioner Robokere Ibani confirmed her abduction by men in military uniform, and abandoned the SUV used in conveying her at the East-West road after being chased by the Police.
Meanwhile , the Police is yet to issue official statement on the release of the banker..
