Ambassador Tonbra Inegbagha joins APC, Pledges Support for Tinubu’s Development Agenda

Amassoma (Southern Ijaw) – Business mogul and grassroots politician, Ambassador Tonbra Joseph Inegbagha, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 9, Amassoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, with a firm commitment to advancing the party’s ideals and contributing to the development of his community in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

At a grand reception held in his honour by APC leaders and party executives from Wards 9, 10, and 11 in Amassoma, Inegbagha, a graduate of Engineering from the Niger Delta University, said his decision to return to the APC was driven by President Tinubu’s revolutionary strides across critical sectors of the economy.

“I am inspired by the bold reforms and unwavering commitment of President Bola Tinubu to national development, unity, and prosperity. I am joining the APC not only to align with this progressive vision but also to help strengthen the party from the grassroots to the national level,” Inegbagha stated.

The event was marked by a carnival-like atmosphere, as Inegbagha arrived with a large number of his supporters and well-wishers, receiving a warm welcome from enthusiastic party faithful.

Representing the State Chairman of the APC, Barr. Dennis Otiotio, PhD, the State Organising Secretary, Dr Tokpo Coronation, commended Inegbagha for his decision, describing it as a bold step that will further energize the party in the area.

Also present at the event were notable APC stalwarts including the State Woman Leader, Hon. Ebiere Akpobosa; State Assistant Financial Secretary, Hon. Abosi Ebi Felagha; State Assistant Welfare Secretary, Hon. Jacob Jonah; State Ex-Officio, Hon. Highlife Humphrey; and Chairman of APC in Southern Ijaw, Hon. John Abeki, along with his counterparts from Ogbia and Nembe LGAs—Benjamin Believe, Aye Otokolo, and Dr. Godfrey Pondei.

Renowned academic and APC chieftain, Hon. Parkins Ogede, and the Special Adviser on Youth Mobilization to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Sogo Mike, were also in attendance, alongside other leaders including Hon. Ebiede Christian and Hon. Ogbomo Erepamowei.

The chairmen of APC in Ward 9, Hon. Yeri Timiyeri; Ward 10, Hon. Tonwerigha Zebulon; and Ward 11, Hon. Temple Ogbofa, expressed confidence that Inegbagha’s return would reposition the party for sweeping success in the 2027 elections.

The highlight of the event was the formal reception of Ambassador Inegbagha and his teeming supporters into the APC fold, signaling a new phase of grassroots mobilisation and party consolidation in Southern Ijaw.
