Hon. Ebi Omonibo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Ijaw, Ammasoma Ward Eleven, says he will continue to uphold the philosophy of the party to better the people of his ward in line with President Bola Tinubu’s mantra to promote development, unity, and oneness.
The grassroots politician stated this during a formal welcome ceremony in his honor by state leaders and executives of Wards Nine, Ten, and Eleven in Ammasoma. He noted that his decision to support Governor Douye Diri in the 2023 governorship polls was personal as a result of their friendship and his amiable nature to promote peace. He has made a decision to rebuild his party, beginning from his ward.
Hon. Omonibo, who was received by executives and leaders in a carnival-like procession accompanied by his teeming supporters and well-wishers, noted that the interest of his followers supersedes any personal interest and gains.
The Southern Ijaw APC Ward 11 chairman, Hon. Temple Egbefa, joined by executives and ward leaders from Wards Nine and Ten, lauded Hon. Ebi Omonibo for his decision to build the party. Assistant Financial Secretary of the APC State Working Committee, Hon. Abosi Ebi Felagha, and other leaders who were on the ground to receive the party faithful promised a better deal for the party in 2027.
High points of the event were the formal defection of two illustrious Ammasoma indigenes to the APC: Hon. Oyintonbara Theophilus Soroh and Hon. Vincent Ebinabo, back to the APC fold.
