The President of the Azikel Group,Dr Eruani Azibapu CFR,has opened up on the peace moves by the leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in the civil and criminal cases involving Kariya Dakoru.
Dr Eruani Azibapu CFR, in a statement signed by the Lead Spokesperson from the office of the President of Azikel Group, acknowledged the interactions with IYC leadership and the recent statement issued by the council.
He confirmed that the leadership of the IYC had visited and communicated with him over the litigations and expressly cautioned the IYC leadership against asking Dakoru to withdraw his civil case or apologise.
According to the statement “The Azikel Group and President had always encouraged the IYC leadership to allow Kariya Dakoru to pursue his civil case,”
According to the statement, Dakoru should be allowed to pursue the matter against the Azikel Group and Azibapu to its logical judicial conclusion.
The clarification followed a recent IYC statement and reactions from some family members, which the company said had resulted in misrepresentations on social media.
The company said the reports had misrepresented the facts surrounding its interactions with the IYC leadership concerning the ongoing legal matters.
It stressed that neither Azikel Group nor Azibapu would entertain further intervention or interaction with the IYC on the subject.
“All civil and criminal matters with regards to this subject MUST henceforth be concluded in the courtroom,” the statement said.
The company urged all parties concerned to allow the judicial process to determine the outcome of the cases without further external intervention.

The President of Azikel Group Dr Eruani Azibapu CFR acknowledge communication, interactions and visitation by the National Leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council about criminal and civil litigations in Court.
The Office of the President of Azikel Group and Dr Eruani Azibapu CFR did expressly cautions the IYC Leadership as they seek to intervene and specifically warned the IYC leadership to NEITHER ask Kariya Dakouro to withdraw his civil case nor apologies.
The Azikel Group and President had always encouraged the IYC leadership to allow Kariya Dakoru to pursue his civil case against the Azikel Group and the President to his logical and Judicial conclusion.

The Azikel Group and the President Dr Eruani Azibapu CFR, WILL NOT entertain, welcome nor interact with the IYC Leadership or any other with regards to this ongoings. All civil and criminal matters with regards to this subject MUST henceforth be concluded in the court room.
