The Executive Chairman, Bayelsa State Physical Planning and Development Board, Tpl Hon Kuroakegha Dorgu has called on land developer in the State to always maintain Government Right of Way (GROW) while carrying out any development in the State.
The Executive Chairman noted that Government Right of Way are the allowable distance between the property line and the road therefore, such distances must be maintained while carrying out such development to avoid distortion of the city.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Imgbi G Stanley noted that it is this allowable distance that enable the government and other agencies carryout construction of drainages, building of electricity cables, utility lines, Optic Fabre cables, etc that would bring about the development of the State.
The Executive Chairman therefore, called on potential developers and business owners doing businesses in caravans, and those that has illegal extensions to stop forthwith as the Board would soon carry out the demolition of such properties in the city of Yenagoa.
The Executive Chairman further called on land developers in the State to always approach the Board for Development Permit before carrying out any development,so that they can be properly guided while carrying out their development in the State.
He also called on land developers to stop carrying out any development on drainages and water channels, to avoid flooding at all season.
