Chairman of the Bayelsa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ has joined other teaming associates, family members, friends and well wishers to felicitate with Comr. Inebaraton Preye, PhD Chief of Staff to the NUJ Chairman on his successful defense of a Doctoral thesis in the Department of Language Education, Faculty of Education, Imo State University, Owerri.

A statement personally signed by the chairman of Council, Comr. Samuel Numonengi described Dr Inebaraton Preye as a thorough breed journalist with a passion for service to humanity and drive to break new grounds in the journalism profession.

Comr. Numonengi further eulogized his aide as a man that stands out in excellence, hard work and a dependable ally to deliver at any given assignment considering his drive to show the way to younger journalist as a mentor.

The NUJ Chairman noted that the news of Dr Inebaraton Preye academic attainment was heart warming especially his decision to research into the need for cultural renaissance and reorientation using the ‘EFFECTS OF INDIGENOUS COMMUNICATIVE METHOD ON SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT AND AFFECTIVE RESPONSE ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE READING COMPREHENSION IN BAYELSA STATE – NIGERIA’ as a springboard to dissect the need for teachers to look inward by using locally sourced materials to bridge the gap for academic failure in the country.

Comr. Numonengi wished Dr. Inebaraton Preye well as he charged him to use his new doctoral rank to deepen his service to humanity and God by carving a niche for himself in the foot of time and create more in roads to mentor younger journalists to raise the bar of practice in the journalism profession.
