The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Party’s National Leader and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, following his unequivocal declaration of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The Bayelsa PDP describes Wike’s position, recently reiterated at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, as a significant political statement that reinforces the direction of his political engagement and the need for strategic alignment in the evolving national political landscape.
Under the leadership of the State Chairman, Hon. Chief Alabh George Turnah, Esq., MON, the Bayelsa State PDP is set to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its preferred presidential candidate in the State ahead of the 2027 general elections. This proposed endorsement is to reaffim the State leadership’s steady alignment of its political direction with Wike’s position and to mobilise party stakeholders and supporters towards a common political objective.
The Bayelsa PDP further restates George Turnah’s leadership of the National Rainbow Coalition in the State and his commitment to coordinating the Coalition’s activities in support of President Tinubu’s candidacy. Under his leadership, the Coalition is playing a strategic role in galvanising political stakeholders and strengthening the mobilisation effort ahead of the 2027 elections.
