The Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable (High Chief) Abraham Ingobere has described the Distinguished Senator, Governor Douye Diri as a selfless leader whose commitments to better the lots of Bayelsans is quite unequalled.
In a message of felicitation onbehalf of the Leadership, Members and Staff of Bayelsa State House of Assembly on the auspicious occasion of the 63rd birthday Anniversary of Governor Diri, High Chief Abraham Ingobere said, while being in the saddle of leadership, Senator Douye Diri has left no one in doubt that he is a servant leader.
He said apart from his earlier days in life, the governor has being involved in providing quality services to his people as a seasoned teacher, Ijaw National Congress, political appointee, parliamentarian at the national levels, and now as Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.
The number one lawmaker said, owing to Senator Douye Diri’s sterling background as a legislator, the governor has given the Legislature its pride of place and also demonstrated unconditional love for Bayelsans by deliberately attending to the infrastructural deficits in extending the Three Senatorial Roads, Bridges at Imiringi, Elebele and Nembe respectively.
Other areas include the Iconic Ernest Ikoli Media Complex, prompt payment of salaries, pensions allowances, gratuities and particularly operating in an all inclusive government.
While enthusiastically congratulating the State’s helmsman, Chief Ingobere said Governor Diri is God’s special gift to Bayelsans.
Meanwhile, Mr Speaker used the medium to prayed on to Almighty God to continuously bless our Executive Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his family, by granting him wisdom and courage to do more and wished him happy birthday anniversary celebration with hearty cheers!
