Bayelsa State’s Tamunosoye Karibi-George has emerged winner of the Miss World Nigeria 2026 pageant, defeating 19 contestants from across the country at the grand finale held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Karibi-George impressed judges with her poise, intelligence, and passion for social impact, securing the coveted crown after a standout performance throughout the competition.
She also won the Best Advocacy Award for her project, Beyond Labels, an initiative dedicated to promoting inclusion and empowerment for children with special needs.
The crown was presented by Guy Murray-Bruce, who praised her exceptional performance and commitment to purpose-driven leadership.
Contestants from Anambra, Edo, Abuja, and Rivers emerged as first, second, third, and fourth runners-up respectively.
As Miss World Nigeria 2026, Karibi-George will represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival scheduled for September 5 in Vietnam.
Her victory marks a historic and proud moment for Bayelsa State as she prepares to fly Nigeria’s flag on the global stage while championing inclusion, empowerment, and positive change.
