BIPA Chairman, Francis Dufugha, loses Mother
The families of David Dufugha of Gbaranbiri-Opokuma in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area and the Abadiwolo-Omoro of Agbere in the Sagbama Local Government Area all of Bayelsa state have announced the passing on to glory of their Wife, Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand child, Ma Rose Dufugha. She was aged 81 years.
The demise of Ma Rose Dufugha who is the mother to the Chairman, Bayelsa Independent Publishers Association (BIPA) and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Niger Delta Herald Newspaper, Mr. Francis Dufugha, occurred on the 26th of December, 2021 after a protracted illness.
Late Ma Rose Dufugha is survived by Seven children, grand children, great grand child and relations too numerous to mention.
Untill her death, Ma Rose Dufugha was a devout Christian and a community leader whose words of wisdom would be greatly missed.
A statement signed by the chief mourner, Mr. Francis Dufugha, stated that the remains of his mother has been deposited at the morgue of the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH) Okolobiri, noting that the date of the funeral rites would be officially communicated to the public in due course.
The statement further described late Ma Rose Dufugha as a loving and caring mother who brought up her children in the fear of God, adding that she died when her motherly words of advice were highly needed.
Meanwhile, condolences have been pouring in from very prominent citizens of Bayelsa state and beyond, consoling Mr. Francis Dufugha and his siblings on the death of their beloved mother.
