Confusion over Corpse of a 16yr- old -girl found in Hotel wardrobe in Bayelsa
Corpse of a 16 year – old girl, Miss Nengi Enenimiete, was found in the wardrobe of an hotel located in Twon Brass, Brass local Government area of Bayelsa State.
Niger Delta Herald gathered that the corpse, which had started discharge foul smell, was discovered at the Blevera Hotel by the manager on Monday.
The deceased corpse however showed no signs of physical injuries, mutilation and strangulation. Indigenes of the Twon Brass community are however demanding for an autopsy and arrest of the mystery male guest with the deceased.
It was gathered that the deceased was introduced to the yet to be identified male guest on Saturday by her friend and lodged at the hotel. The mystery male guest however checked out on Sunday.
A source from the Twon Brass community, told Niger Delta that “when the manager arrived and checked the room. He saw that it was messed up and asked the cleaner to tidy it up for another guest. The cleaner did but they noticed water dripping on the tiles from another part of the room.”
“While they were checking the room, they were perceiving foul smell and started searching for the source.They later discover the lifeless body of the deceased in the wardrobe.”
The deceased is said to be an indigene of Nembe/Brass local Government area of the State And the girl identified as the link between her and the yet-to-be identified make guest has been reportedly arrested.
Confirming the incident to NigerDeltaHerald, the spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Asinim Butswat, said “On 21st November 2022 the manager of a Hotel in Twon Brass, reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Brass, that he perceived an offensive odour from one of the rooms in the hotel, upon a search he discovered a lifeless famale corpse hidden inside a wardrobe.”
“The deceased was later identified as Nengi Enenimiete ‘f’ aged 16. Investigation is ongoing to identify the suspects who lodge in the hotel room on the night of the incident. The corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.Investigation is ongoing.”
