Diri calls for employment of Bayelsans , as he inaugurates new branch of commercial bank in Yenagoa

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has inaugurated the Yenagoa branch of Premium Trust Bank.


Speaking during the event at the premises of the bank along Sani Abacha Express Way, Yenagoa, Governor Diri expressed the readiness of the state government to work closely with the bank to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.


A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah quoted the Governor as calling on Bayelsans to do business with the bank, saying the ideals of the bank is in line with the prosperity mantra of the state government.
Governor Diri assured the bank that the state government will create the enabling environment, especially in the area of security, stressing that, government is doing a lot in that regard which will be visible to the people of the state in no distant time. 


He urged the bank to employ Bayelsans as part of it’s duty to the state and expressed optimism that both the state and the bank can achieve so much together. 


His words: “We will work with you and your bank. For us in Bayelsa, our mantra is prosperity and you are keying to that mantra, we believe that it will impact positively. We call on our people to open accounts with this bank, thank you for considering Bayelsa as one of the state’s to have a branch.”


“As a state, we owe our people security and very soon the whole state will see results of our actions, criminality can’t thrive here. we will continue to make sure that the state is safe for business. We can assure you that the state will do business with you. We welcome you to Bayelsa State and pray that your business will prosper and grow from strength to strength.”


“Usually on Wednesdays we don’t do other events but because of the confidence we have in you we decided to come here. Look around our state and employ Bayelsans”.


In his welcome address, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Premium Trust Bank, Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim stated that the bank understands the people and terrain of Bayelsa and are ready to deliver solutions that are peculiar to the problems of the State.


He said the bank is willing to work with the people of the State and assured that results will be delivered expeditiously. 


Dignitaries at the event included the Senator representing Bayelsa Central in the National Assembly, Senator Moses Cleopas, Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Ogbere, Leader of the House, Monday Obolo, chairman, Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers, King Bubaraye Dakolo and members of the State Executive Council as well as other government officials.
