Members of the Ekienga family in Boubai House in Isampou community of Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa state have postponed the burial ceremony of their daughter, Mrs Poun-ere Rosemary Pereotubo.
Mrs Poun-ere Rosemary Pereotubo, was the mother of Mr Chris Odi, retired Director of Press and Publication in the state Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy.
The postponement, according to a statement signed by Esebrafa John Oweifie on behalf of the family, was occasioned by the ravaging flood, which has rendered portions of the East/West road impassable.
The statement further reads: “The burial ceremony, earlier scheduled for Saturday 5th November, will now take place on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
“We regret whatever inconveniences the postponement of the burial ceremony may have caused.
“The late Mrs Poun-ere Pereotubo, who was aged 84, passed on to the great beyond on Friday, April 8, 2022.”
