The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone has elected a new set of executive officers to pilot the affairs of the zone following the successful conduct of its Zonal Congress.
At the congress held on Saturday, delegates elected Dr. Enebraye Patrick Orusengha as Chairman to lead the new executive.
Others elected are Comrade Ineikonugha Peletiri Charles as Secretary, Comrade Arebai Darlington as Mobilization Officer, Comrade Ibibo Praise Bomanazibe as Woman Leader, Comrade Boro Francis as Information Officer, Comrade Ayas Nicholas as Assistant Secretary, Comrade Agbogidi Emomotimi as Student Representative, and Comrade Ayebagbalinyo Brayai Abel as Treasurer.
The election marks the emergence of a new leadership expected to oversee the activities of the IYC Central Zone and advance the interests of Ijaw youths across the zone.
Members and supporters of the council have congratulated the newly elected officials and wished them a successful tenure.
