Moses Jituboh a former Aide-de-Camp to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan is dead, a close relative of his told our correspondent late on Friday.

Jituboh died on Friday at the age of 54 years after a brief illness, the source stated.

“Yes, your information is correct. I can confirm that he (Moses Jituboh) is dead. I just got off the phone with a community chief.

“Efforts are currently ongoing to carry out an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death,” the source said.

Jituboh was ADC to late DSP Alamieyeseigha in 1999 beforebecoming Jonathan’s ADC while he was governor of Bayelsa State and as Vice President. He was Commissioner of Police Adamawa state.

He remained in Jonathan’s security team when he became President.

After the 2015 presidential election which Jonathan lost, he returned to his police duty and was, at a point, touted to be appointed Inspector General of Police, but lost out.

Meanwhile, the Zone 16 Police Command has commiserated with the Jituboh family and Bayelsans over the death of the former Deputy Inspector-General.
