King Amalate Johnnie Turner, MFR, Obigbo mikimiki, Obanohban of Oloibiri Kingdom has joined other well meaning Bayelsans to sue for peaceful polls especially in Ogbia Local Government Area and Bayelsa State by extension while urging voters to turn out en masse and vote in the Forth coming House of Assembly polls without Violence.
King Turner challenged Bayelsans especially violence flash point zones such as Nembe, Brass, Southern Ijaw and other areas to use the polls to make a testament of peace and work as a team to bring lasting peace to the Area.
The Oloibiri Monarch also charged the various political groups in the State to adhere to the Peace Accord endorsed to promote sustainable peace.
The Obigbo mikimiki frowns at some political players and actors who seem not to have dropped the old habits of electoral violence as they are still bent on continuing in their violent and destructive ways and tendencies to entrench themselves in power at all cost.
The King further respectively call on all security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain apolitical to guarantee that the wish of the people in the ballot is respected.
