Labour Party’s Senatorial candidate in Bayelsa promises effective representation if elected
A Senate hopeful in the forthcoming February 25, 2023 general elections Chief Furoebi Sheba Akene has promised effective representation if given the mandate.
Akene Spoke exclusively to our correspondent in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
He is vying for the Bayelsa Central Senatorial District at the red chamber of the National Assembly under the platform of the Labour Party (LP).
Akene who was a former Commissioner for Lands and Survey noted that he would ensure that laws that would impact positively on the people of the district would be his focus.
“ I will ensure that laws which are friendly to our environment are enacted, while obnoxious one’s are repealed for good of our people”, he noted.
According to the Labour Party’s Senatorial candidate, who is also an environmental rights activist “ Oil Multinational Companies would be held accountable for the degradation of the ecosystem with remediation and cleaning of the environment.”
He further disclosed that Constituency projects will be for the empowerment of the people of the senatorial district.
