Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, has emphasized the crucial role of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) in the success of the government’s ongoing reforms in the oil sector.
Hosting a delegation from PETROAN, which visited to express support for the administration’s transformation agenda, Lokpobiri stressed that full deregulation of the downstream sector, as enforced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must translate into tangible benefits for the grassroots.
“What is petroleum prosperity if the grassroots do not feel the impact of reforms?” he questioned, highlighting the need for efficient distribution and service delivery by PETROAN members nationwide.
Commending the association for its dedication to the industry, the minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining partnerships that will ensure Nigerians fully enjoy the benefits of a deregulated petroleum sector.
