Mechanical Enigineers to address pressing issues of food production , climate change in Nigeria.

The Nigerian institution of mechanical engineers would focus on their mission to leverage innovative technologies to address the pressing issues of food production and climate change that will assist to frustrate the nation economic challenges we experience.
The national chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Alhassan Abdu Mohammed made this known during the 37th International Conference & Annual General Meeting in Uyo.
With the theme “innovative technologies for sustainable food production and managing climate change”.
The chairman said despite the uphill task, they would not relent to achieve their mission because of the passion they have for their profession to fish out solution without compromise.
According to him, as mechanical engineers, play a pivotal role in providing technological solution that promote sustainability and resilience while this gathering offer a platform for us to exchange idea, share knowledge and forge partnership that will further the advancement in this area.
He said the effort has made them recorded significant achievements that reflects the dedication and commitment of their members to advancing the mechanical engineering profession organizing successful numerous workshops, seminars, webinars, and capacity building program, which has empowered the members to stay at the forefront of technological innovation.
Akwa Ibom State Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of mechanical engineering, Engr. John Urua FNIMechE said the conference serve as vital platform for expert, innovators and stakeholders, to share knowledge, exploit innovative solution, and forge collaboration aimed at addressing the pressing challenges of food security and climate change.
He said we should recognize the pivotal role of mechanical engineering in driving innovation and enhancing efficiencies in agricultural practice and climate resilience, while our profession is at the forefront of developing the technologies that can transform food production system and mitigate the impact of climate change while he commended members for their massive turnout during the conference.
Our correspondence report that senator Ita Enang , the keynote speaker gave a powerful and superlative lecture that amazed the entire participant in the conference, educating them the roles of mechanical engineers over the passion they have for their profession despite the challenges still not give up to achieve their mission.
