Gunmen who abducted a former commissioner for special Duties in charge of  Federal Projects and special adviser on power Mr. Mike Ogiasa are yet to free him two months after.

Sources told our correspondent in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State that Ogiasa who is a cousin of Former President Goodlcuk Jonathan  was abducted at Otuagidi in the Ogbia Local Government Area on Thursday, June 2

The bandits numbering about eight, were said to have wisked him away at gunpoint.

Ogiasa was said to have finished attending a meeting before his abductors swooped on him.

He is the son of a former traditional ruler Jonathan’s Otueke Community,

A social media post by some of his friends read in path #let save Mike Ogiasa, a cousin of GEJ and former commissioner in Bayelsa State  has being kidnappers den and urgently requires our support to saves his life.

Sources in Otuogidi  Community invited our correspondent  the kidnappers are yet to contact the family for ransom or saying anything about his where about.

The police spokesman Asinimi But what told Niger Delta Herald that the police is making frantic efforts at rescuing the former Commissioner from the hands of his abductors.

“Investigation are on the arrest the perpetrators and rescue him from them”

When asked if the perpetrators have contact the family for ransom. He said the police is not bothered about that because a man hunt have been launched to arrest the criminals.

“Our investigations are ongoing and we do not want it to be affected because of any unwarranted distractions”
