Mrs Diri Donates cash, gift items to Christmas baby
The wife of the Bayelsa State Governor, Dr.Mrs. Gloria Diri today, donated cash and gift items to the ‘Christmas baby, at the Federal Medical Centre,Yenagoa.
The baby, male, who was born to Mr /Mrs. Jane Idemoh from Okodia,in Yenagoa Local Government Area was delivered at exactly 12:03 AM, Wednesday, Morning 25th December,2024 weighing 3kg.
The First Lady while making the presentation, thanked God for the safe delivery of the baby.
She noted that the birth of the baby on a day the world is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ,signifies a great destiny.
She therefore encouraged the parents to raise the baby in the way of the Lord and inculcate in him, godly principles so he would grow to be a good citizen and a blessing to the society at large.
Dr. Gloria Diri also presented cash gifts to other nursing mothers in the maternity ward whose baby arrived few hours after the first Christmas baby. Wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous new year.
Director of Nursing Services, Mrs Margaret Julius who introduced the baby and mother to the First Lady, appreciated her for visiting the hospital and also extending the cash gift to other nursing mothers as well as staff on duty.
The mother of the ‘Christmas baby’ Mrs Jane Idemoh expressed her appreciation and excitement for the honor given to her by the First Lady of the State.
