NCDMB PICTORIALS : African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFA) protocol.
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is participating actively in the ongoing efforts by the Federal Government of Nigeria to domesticate and launch the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFA) protocol.
The Ministry of Trade, Industries and Investment in partnership with United Nations Economic Commission for Africa is coordinating this effort and they hosted the AfCFA Implementation strategy team to a 2 day workshop held in Lagos earlier this week.
The intent was to validate Nigeria’s AfCFA implementation strategy.
The strategy document outlines Nigeria”s priority products & services, trade infrastructure & other enablers , factor market integration and trade facilitation imperatives.
Nigeria seeks to double export revenue and capture 10% of Africa”s global imports by 2035. from AfCFA.
NCDMB was represented at the workshop by Alhaji Abdulmalik Halilu, General Manager Research, Statistics and Development, supported by Mr. Silas Ajimijaye Manager Research and statistics and Kayode Umar of Research statistics department.
The outcome of the validation workshop will lead to the policy and strategic framework for AFCFTA implementation in Nigeria
