The NCDMBÂ has, kicked off the Phase 3 Batch 1 Quality Management System (QMS) Training for Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (@OgtanOrg) members and personnel of Service Companies in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
This training is aimed at equipping Nigerian personnel from various service companies with the requisite knowledge in QMS procedures & standards, and the processes required for ISO 9001 certification, which is a key requirement in the Oil and Gas Industry and its linkage sectors.
In his welcome address, the Director Capacity Building Directorate, NCDMB, Dr. Ama Ikiru, represented by the Manager, Human Capital Development, NCDMB, Mr. Timbiri Augustine highlighted the gains accruable from attending the training.
He went on to reiterate the Board’s unflinching commitment towards development of in-country capacities and capabilities.
He advised participants to actively participate in the training as the knowledge acquired will be invaluable to standardising their operations and processes as well as enhance their global competiveness.
The Phase 3 Batch 1 QMS Training has in attendance members of OGTAN.
The representatives from the Board include Mr. Ikenna Umunnakwe, Engr. Basil Aleibiri, Mr. Bufazi Tareowei, Mr. Oganuzor Uchechukwu, and Mr. Spiff Tobin from Capacity Building Directorate, and Ms. Patsy Degi from the Internal Audit Department of the Board.
