NCDMB PICTORIALS: ES receives delegation from Ministry of Commerce
The Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote FNSE, received a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and Mines, Republic of Guinea, led by the Executive Director of BSTP, Saifoulaye Balde’ MBA at the Board’s liaison office in Abuja.
Mr. Balde’, in his remark thanked Engr. Wabote and his team for the warm reception. According to him, the purpose of their visit to Nigeria and the NCDMB is to understudy to how the Board is implementing it’s Local Content development mandate in the Nigerian Oil and gas industry, with a view at replicating same in their Ministry.
In his remark, ,Engr. Wabote outlined some of the challenges Nigeria faced before the enactment of the Act in 2010. He said NCDMB has been bullish and focused on our core mandates that is why we have recorded a 54% Nigerian Content participation in the oil and gas industry.
He thanked the Republic of Guinea delegation for the visit and assured them of the Board’s willingness to help them achieve the aim of their visit.
In closing, the NCDMB boss invited them to visit and tour the Board’s Nigerian Content Tower headquarters building in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
