Nigeria committed to OPEC declaration of Cooperation, says Lokpobiri

The Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil) Senator Heineken Lokpobiri , has reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to The Organition Of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Declaration of Cooperation DoC.

The Minister in a statement he personally signed and circulated to the press noted that
“I joined my colleagues for the 56th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) of OPEC, during which we reviewed the conformity and compensation efforts of countries participating in the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC).

“Nigeria remains fully committed to the objectives of the DoC, and I can confidently confirm that our country is in conformity with the agreed production limits.


“While we continue to ramp up production in line with our national interests, we are doing so within the framework of OPEC’s guidelines, as we remain committed to balancing responsible production with our economic goals, and continue to meet our obligations under the DoC.”
