Nigeria Open for Business: Lokpobiri Declares at Energy Summit
Abuja, Nigeria – The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to attract global investments in its energy sector. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 8th Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) in Abuja, Lokpobiri declared, “Nigeria is ready for business.”
He emphasized the country’s vast energy potential, assuring investors of a mutually beneficial environment under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Lokpobiri, significant strides have been made in removing longstanding industry bottlenecks through a strengthened legal framework and Presidential Executive Orders aimed at streamlining operations.

The minister highlighted ongoing reforms that not only enhance Nigeria’s investment climate but also position the country as a gateway to the broader West African energy market. With these strategic advancements, he affirmed that Nigeria is now fully open for investments, reinforcing its status as a key global energy player and a partner of choice for investors.
