Bayelsa NNPP inaugurates new State, LG excos, vows to win seats in 2023
After a successful ward, local government and state congress, the New Nigerian Peoples Party in Bayelsa State, NNPP has inaugurated its ward, local government and state executive officers to pilot the affairs of the party with a charge to win most elective positions at the state and national come 2023.
Performing the inauguration ceremony, the state party Chairman, Dr. Joel Tubunimi charged the newly inaugurated executives to ensure that party is firmly rooted at the grassroots and to capture power from the APC at the national and the PDP at the state levels.
Tubunimi urged the executives to remain united and be focused to achieve set goals and called on them to make the necessary sacrifice for a better tomorrow.
He enjoined the executive members to imbibe the philosophy of the national leader of the party, Dr. Rabiu Kwakwanso whom he described as a man of prudence, accountability and one who believes in the achievement of great things with little resources, and further urging them not to think of the present pecuniary benefits but to look at the bigger picture ahead.
The state party Chairman emphasized the need for new exco to be open to each other work as a team to be make the NNPP to be known at all nooks and crannies of the state.
Tubonimi also announced that commencement of sales of nomination forms for the state Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and the President, noting that collection of forms ends on the 30th of April, 2022.
The NNPP helmsman in the state while presenting the aspirants who have picked their nomination forms to the state working committee of the party, commended them for the bold step and promised that the party wiill be fair to all aspirant during the conduct of the party primaries.
Those who picked their expression of interest and nomination forms are Hon. Abiola Beredougha, former CDC Chairman of Ikebiri I Community for Silga Constituency IV, Amakiri Lucky for Silga Constituency III and Ineyi Appah for Yelga Constituency II as aspirants for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
Also speaking, a chieftain of the party, Engr. Ebiparde Sapre- Ebi congratulated the new executives on their inauguration, saying that making the party great is in the hands of the executives.
Sapre-Ebi as leaders at the various levels they need to imbibe sound leadership character, adding that the party is build on fairness, justice, consultation and accommodation of different views and shades of opinion of members.
Those inaugurated as state executive officers are: state Vice Chairman East, Engr. Sammy Adigio, state Vice Chairman West, Ebipere Fidelis, state Vice Chairman Central, Comrade Alagoa Morris, state Secretary Benjamin Abidde, state Treasurer, Amana Akpana, state Financial Secretary, Akpofinne Bob, state Publicly Secretary, Alfred Agiraman and state Organising Secretary, Tubo Daniel.
Others are state Auditor, Aemi Eda, state Legal Adviser, Barr.Joseph Bob, state Woman leader, Mrs. Esere Susan and state Youth leader, Abraham Namatebe
