There have been rumors of uncertainty in the camp of reigning Nigeria Women Premier League champions Bayelsa Queens and Nigeria representative in the CAF Women WAFU-B Champions League.

Bayelsa Queens depart Nigeria on Monday for Cote D’Ivoire ahead of CAF Women Champions League WAFU-B tournament in Cote D’Ivoire from August 20 to September 3, 2022 as they face Athleta FC of Togo on Sunday.

The chairman of the club, Pastor Robin Apreala few days ago in the media was accused of running a one man show in the club despite having board members appointed by the government.

Investigation has revealed that the publication was orchestrated by mischief makers who are envious of the chairman’s achievements as been alleged that he has appointed his son Ebimobowei Isreal Apreala as media officer of the club.

According to an insider, Ebimobowei Apreala is a graduate of Mathematics in the Niger Delta University who is into real Estate Management in Lagos State, on arrival discovered that the club was still leaving in stone age without a social media presence.

The inclusion of Ebimobowei in the Bayelsa Queens media team has brought light to Bayelsa Queens with league matches and activities of the club being streamed live on social media.

It further explains that the Bayelsa State government only made provision for two media persons to travel with the team to Cote D’Ivoire, the media include Preye Yabrifa and Timi Emelede the Video cameraman, that Ebimobowei traveled to Abadjan doing the work of the Club from the pocket of the chairman same with his wife.

However Carlos Binebi Numa and Preye Yabrifa and other members of the technical crew were unable to join the first flight due to some hitches, reliable source in the Ministry of Sports reveals that they left Yenagoa to Lagos enroute Cote d’ Voire on Thursday and are presently in Abadjan.

The source further stated that Mr Apreala did not hand pick those who made the trip as speculated by fake news merchants.

The latest report indicates that Board members would arrive Cote D’Ivoire when the Bayelsa State Government releases the funds meant to execute their trip as against the earlier report that the board members were disowned.

Mrs Jean Apreala the wife of the chairman have been a strong supporter of Bayelsa Queens for a long period of time as well as a supportive wife who supports the aspirations of her husband in whatever thing he does since they got married about 30years ago.

It was also alleged by the promoters of the fake news that the board members are fuming that Mr Apreala has made his wife the official club caterer but findings reveal that Mrs Apreala does not have any dealing with food supply rather the club decided to engage the services of a professional,Mrs Judith Obi Member wife of Bayelsa United cameraman.

On Uju Amanda an inside source in Cote D’Ivoire reveals that the club did not sell Amanda to the Turkish side Ataşehir Belediyespor but rather absconded from the camp and she is nowhere to be found as of the time putting this report together.

When contacted, the chairman of Bayelsa Queens Mr Robin Apreala said the team is now focused on their first game against Athleta FC with the aim of putting smiles on the faces of Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the good people of Bayelsa.
