The Chairman, Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Bayelsa State Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, today paid an unscheduled visit to the on-going Sagbagrea/ Polaku road project in Yenagoa lga and Kolokuma/Opokuma lga of Bayelsa State.
The Chairman, was on site to see for himself the level of work done so far, to see if the contractor is keeping to specifications and is complying with the relevant building standards.
The Chairman, charged the contractor to keep to the specifications and standards of road and bridge construction. He also charged them to finish and handover the job within the agreed time frame.
The Chairman, who is from kolga also used the opportunity to thank Governor Douye Diri, for awarding the road and bridge project. He stated that the importance of the project to the people of the area can not be over emphasized.
