Police arraign Man, 35, over illegal possession of fire arms in Bayelsa

Authorities of the Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the arraignment in Court of one Kelvin Ekuere, 35years, from Koluama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government area of Bayelsa State over allege illegal possession of fire Arms.

​ According to the Police, through its spokesman, SP Asinim Butswat, said Kelvin Ekuere was arrested over allege illegal possession of firearms and has been charged to court today.”

The suspect claimed to be working with one Tibiebi Woinemi Amadein, who is nephew, Chief Security Officer to the Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senator district of the State, Senator Cleopas Moses and the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.

Police sources however said though Kelvin Ekuere was arrested for allege illegal possession of fire arms, he and his allege boss, Timiebi Woinnemi Amadein are being investigated for allege involvement in a porputed kidnapping attempt of Chief Patrick Ekubo at Akenfa 3 community in Yenagoa, the state capital.

It was gathered that despite series of invitations by the police, the Assistant Publicity Secetary, has not honored it or give an written explanation for his absence.
