…Commits to the emergence of Siminialayi Fubara as next Rivers Governor

 

A group of Rivers who-is-who in the Diaspora has come together under the aegis of Rivers Sim Movement (RSM) Diaspora to drum support for the emergence of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminialayi Joseph Fubara as the next governor of Rivers State.

 

The group flagged off their intention in a zoom meeting held on September 4, 2022 with 22 members from across Europe and North America participating.

 

According to the group’s Diaspora Director/Convener, Amaopusenibo Shedrack Fubara, the group hopes to mobilize support from abroad to ensure that Sir Sim Fubara succeeds.

 

“RSM mission is to mobilize Rivers indigenes in Diaspora to support the election of Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara, our Principal and Candidate of PDP for Governor of Rivers State in 2023.

 

“There’s the need for us to sensitize our constituents at home to show strong support for our Candidate and to go out on the day of election and vote en-mass for our Candidate,” Fubara declared.

 

Speaking further, the Director/Convener said that though the campaigns are yet to commence, plans are in place to facilitate a Town Hall Meeting via Zoom for the Candidate to interact with those in the Diaspora.

 

“Plans are in place for our Candidate to address Rivers people in Diaspora soon in a Town Hall Meeting through virtual means,” Fubara stated.

 

Those that participated in the meeting include Amaopusenibo Shedrack Fubara, Clifford Tamuno Inimgba, Mrs Stella Inimgba, Pastor Bright Chukwumati, Dr. Akeh Woha, Amaopusenibo( Engr)Stephen Benstowe JP, Ms Precious Woha, Chief Amabo MacHarry, Engr. Tubotamuno Abbey-Kalio, Mr. Saviour Laba and Comrade Miabiye Kuromiema. Others are Miss Albert, Dr. Diepiriye Tariah, Ms. Elsie Gogonne Owujie , Alabo (Dr.) Diboye- Suku, Mr. Nkemuakolam Nnadi, Ms. Abigail Amakiri, Dr. Abiye Iyo, Comrade Awo Tolofari, Elder Joseph Uranta, Mrs. Data Ogolo, Ms. Deborah Dein Abbey and Warisenibo Tubo Uranta.
