Senator Amange congratulates Bayelsans honoured by President Buhari

Senator Nimi Barigha-Amange has on behalf of his political family joined other teeming supporters to felicitate with Bayelsans who were recently given national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Those who received the prestigious national honours include former governor of the state and now Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva who was conferred as Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

The Elder Statesman in a message of felicitation he personally signed and sent to the Media described the former Governor of Bayelsa State as a worthy ambassador of the state and political colossus, noting that the national acknowledgement is a testament to Sylva’s commitment and immense contributions to the nation especially his giant revolutions in the oil and gas sector as Nigeria’s minister of state for petroleum.

The statement further noted that Sylva’s excellent delivery in the upstream and downstream sectors and contributions to the stability recorded in the nations economy are pointers to his profound intelligence and political sagacity to always think outside the box.

The Senator observed that it was heart-warming to see that the Minister’s dedication and immense contributions to the nation, have not gone unnoticed, pointing out that it is further inspiring for the Niger Delta people especially those from Bayelsa East extraction.

The senator who served in the red chambers from 2007 till 2011 and Authored the book, “Fisherman’s Mace” also extend his message of felicitation to the first Military Administrator of Old Rivers State Amayanabo of Twon-Brass and immediate Past Chairman of the Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers, King Alfred Papa-piriye Diette Spiff, CFR, Founder and Chief Executive of Azikel Group, Dr. Eruani Azibapu Godbless, CFR.

Amange also congratulates former National President of Ogbia Brotherhood and erstwhile Chief of Staff to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Benson Agadaga, MFR, as well as the Vice President 2 of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Alabo Nengi James, OON as he described the honours as the outstanding recognition of service to the fatherland by the people of Bayelsa East and owners of the first oil well in Nigeria and mainstay of the nation’s life wire.
