SHOCKING REVELATIONS! Ijaw Leaders And Politicians Have Lost Trillions Of Naira And Properties To Strange Women And Fraudsters In Abuja
An investigation and studies were conducted on the adventure of Ijaw leaders and politicians in particular in Abuja since the inception of our contemporary democracy from 1999 till date. The results are not only saddening, they are unpalatable, unbelievable and mind boggling.
This piece is therefore very important particularly to the new generation of Ijaw youths who are aspiring for greater heights. This is key because they could actually learn some lessons that shall help to guide them in the future.
What is worrisome here according to the findings is the fact that nine out of ten Ijaw leaders have been victims even though some out of shame may not be willing to recount their ugly/horrible experiences.
Before the advent of our contemporary democracy in 1999, the Ijaw Nation paraded a handful of comfortable multimillionaires and billionaires despite the fact that over 65% crude oil and gas in the country are deposited in Ijaw land.
Ijaw leaders in the defunct Eastern, Western and later Midwestern regions played notable roles in the midwife and nurturing of Nigeria’s democracy. We also had some noble Ijaws that were prominent during the successive military regimes. But one cannot be held for intellectual contempt if one submits that the presence and participation of Ijaws at the national scene were not as visible as they are today or were few years ago.
From the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha administration to the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Vice Presidency and the Presidency, Ijaws assumed very special positions in national politics.
It is also important to highlight that before the Presidency of President Jonathan, every Ijaw and Niger Deltans in general, struggled and schemed very hard to have political godfathers from the North that they paid homage to from time to time in order to get political covering and security, the same way junior or new Pentecostal Pastors or General Overseers pay Tithe to older General Overseers.
It is worthy to note that the Jonathan presidency helped to change the above ugly narrative to the extent that the reverse became the case due to the table that turned. Northern political elites and others started lobbying and scheming Ijaws for favour. Northerners left their comfort zones to travel to Bayelsa state and other Ijaws areas just to scheme to get opportunities.
We all saw how Northerners who do not joke or compromise with their traditional barbariga attires, started wearing Niger Delta native attires that they cap with hats to match.
On arrival at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja which is totally new and far more developed with resources from the abundant crude oil and gas wealth from the Niger Delta compared to the grossly neglected, abandoned and underdeveloped rural towns and villages in Ijaw land, Ijaw leaders suffer lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem and high level of timidity.
While in Abuja, they are not only exposed to new environment, they also meet new crop of people. Some of the persons that they meet are far more educated and enlightened, while others are more richer than them.
But the worst set of people that Ijaws meet and often fall prey to are Strange Women who are operating with the spirit of Jezebel and fraudsters who pretend to be very loyal, sincere and trustworthy.
These people operate like syndicates. They have different cartels and their soft targets are Ijaw leaders and other naive fellows.
Sadly, Ijaw leaders are quick to fall for them the way and manner the average Bayelsa Senior Civil Servants and Politicians fell for Igbo Youth Corpers who took over many Bayelsa homes after the men abandon the Ijaw women that suffered and laboured with them when they had nothing just to see the lap of fair Corpers.
The treacherous syndicates in Abuja have studied and understood the lifestyle and disposition of average Ijaw elites that they like vein praises, pretense and eye services. While average Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo easily distinguish hypocrisy and sycophancy from true loyalty, Ijaw leaders places high premium on hypocritical and sycophantic tendencies. The worst is that nobody can advice an Ijaw elite that has fallen prey to Abuja strange women or fraudsters. They blacklist everyone that tries to advice them.
Instead of buying properties and investing in the names of their family members, close relatives and trusted friends that were with them when they had nothing, they begin to entrust their new found wealth to their new friends and confidantes that they trust, revere and place very high.
Ijaw leaders and politicians always entrust their wealth to Northerners, Yorubas and Igbos instead of their own wives, children, family members and close associates.
The fact remains that the moment they leave offices, the same pretenders who were with them creating impressions that they are ready to die for them move, abandon them the dramatic way and manner Bees abandon unproducing Honeycombs in search of producing ones.
Unfortunately, the criminals do not only leave or abandon Ijaw leaders and politicians, they report them to anti-graft agencies that they connive with their partners who are insiders in those agencies to collect everything that belong to them.
Multitudes of Ijaw leaders and politicians in particular have lost Trillions and unquantifiable choice properties ranging from hotels, mansions, lands and others.
The greatest mistakes that Ijaw leaders and politicians make is using the names of those strange women and fraudsters to open bank accounts and acquire choice properties and at the end they loose everything because their is no proof of their ownership of such monies and properties.
It is only one out of every one hundred good people that return monies and properties that were entrusted to them.
The worst is that most of those fellows are people from far areas. So when Ijaw leaders and politicians become broke they fall back to their own people that they abandoned for companionship and rehabilitation, while the fair weather friends enjoy the loots.
The great question here is, why steal monies that you do not want to be traced to you or any member of your family?
Why do you steal money and entrust to strange fellows only to be harassed by anti-graft agencies and at the end, the fellow convert and divert such entrusted monies and properties to their personal use at your expense and detriment?
The Bible says that the enemies of a man are members of his household, but there is absolutely no way members of your family can steal, convert and divert your wealth and abandon you, the way and manner you have suffered in the hands of outsiders who act with so much impunity.
Family members cannot ruin the lives of Ijaw leaders and politicians, the way and manner those strange women and fraudsters destroy their lives without any pity or human feelings.
Moving forward, Ijaw leaders and politicians should begin to wise up. They should learn to trust their own people who will not abandon them when all fair weather friends will disappear like the Bees who are in endless search of producing honeycomb without room for any expended honeycomb.
Every help that you render to your wife, children, family members, close associates and others in need of help is an investment that may yield positive results when you are down. Remember that no king or kingdom reigns forever except Christ and the Kingdom of God.
