A tragic incident was said to have occurred at the Swali Market in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, where a stray bullet from a cult clash allegedly hit and killed one Mrs. Christiana Onoakpoma Rose, an Isoko woman from Delta state .
The clash which occurred on Monday resulted to the death of the trader .
There has been cult clashes between the rival groups of late resulting in the death of over 10 persons in last three weeks.
The latest incident is a cause for worry as observers view the development as dangerous if urgent action is not taken to nip the ugly trend in the bud.
Some pundits faulted the police for initiating peace for the cultists’ leaders instead of wielding the big stick against them.
The state police command spokesman Musa Mohammed confirmed the latest clash , adding that some suspected cultists involved as being interrogated while investigations are ongoing.
