The Supreme Council of non indigenes Bayelsa state chapter saw a new dawn, as it witnessed the inauguration of its new excos.

The Electorial committee represented by Mr. Okpolu Bonny handed out certificates of return to the new excos at the NUJ Press Center in Yenagoa, the state capital.

At the occasion, the ex-President General of the council , Mr. Itepu Bartholemew handed over officially to the new President General Mr. Abba Mustapha.

The ex president who gave his parting words advice to the council and to the new Predident General, adding that “ it is a call to service … try in your efforts to do the will, do the needful, to make sure that council moves from present condition to better position
“ it is not an opportunity to show off, it is not an opportunity to continue merrying, you should know you are to serve the people that elected you and make sure that you make everything possible and be open in your dealing with council men and women”

Thank the outgoing president and the council noting that “ what we are going to do is to swing into action, from today, right now, this particular minute” “ we are going to make sure that the council as it is, is going to penetrate into government

 

 

“All these insinuations and wrong peAceptions against supreme council will be a thing of the past” “ … the main objective is to unite our people, the 35 states in Nigeria and FCT that are residing here in Bayelsa, to identify ourselves, to help ourselves, because if there is need to assist a member , somebody among us , we can all rise to the occasion.

 

“ First thing we are going to do … is to train the new exco members, let them know the working s of the supreme council in a very short period of time.

“ This administration will strictly carry out its duties, activities, projects, and programs, based on what the constitution has stipulated.

“ So therefore be rest assured that the council, our name, would be registered in the government house.”
