Sylva Mourns Nestor Binabo

Chief Timipre Sylva, former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bayelsa State has expressed shock and sadness over the passing of Rt Hon Nestor Binabo, former acting Governor of the state.
In a personally signed statement to the press, Sylva described the loss as colossal and one of profound magnitude ‘We have lost one of our titans, and while we are stunned, pained and thrown in utter helplessness we believe that God makes these decisions’
‘He left positives marks in the politics of our state, in governance and, ultimately, in the development of The Glory of All Lands and Nigeria’
‘I commiserate with the Binabo family as they mourn, losing a patriarch is always a shattering experience. We will pray, mourn, stand and support them as they deal with this steep time’

His Excellency Nestor Binabo briefly served as the acting Governor of Bayelsa State from January to February 2012. He also served as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
