Tarabina excited as Igbedi road reaches 95 percent, AIT-Igbogene asphalted to Okaki junction

As the Igbedi road project reaches 95 percent completion and the Ait Igobogene outer ring road aphalted to Okaki junction, the Chairman Directorate for project monitoring and evaluation, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina has charged contractors handling government project to be conscious of standard and specifications.

Engr. Tarabina made the call during an inspection visits to ongoing projects in the state on Thursday, December 23, 2021.

The chairman said the ere in which contractors cut corners and built sub standards projects were over, urged the contractors to always adhere to standard.
Engr. Tarabina said the present administration was fully committed to the infrastructural development of the state, stressing that contractors should ensure projects were executed according to the best of standard.

He said the projects were very significant for the present and future development of the state, noting that it was imperative for contractors to abide by the contractual terms of agreement to deliver as at when due.

At the Igbedi road project, the chairman commended the company handling the project, PAACIE construction limited, for the quality and pace of work achieved, urged the contractor to sustained the tempo.

The General manager of the company, Mr. Sarkis Abichmount who is handling the project, said 80 percent of the job had been achieved, pledged completion of the project on schedule.

At the Sagbama/Ekeremor road project, the chairman lauded the contractor for the milestones recorded on the project, urged the contractor to intensify efforts for the speedy completion of the project.

Other projects inspected during the tour includes: the concrete pavement at Ayamasa, the ongoing Glory drive road project, AIT/Igbogene outer ring road, the Opolo/AIT road, the Elebele Bridge and the maintenance and rehabilitation work at Imiringi road.

The chairman was accompanied on the tour with members of the board, heads of department, engineers, and among others.
