Tarabina Inspects Polaku–Sabagrea Road, Bridge, Others in Bayelsa

The Chairman, Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Bayelsa State, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, on Thursday inspected the ongoing Polaku–Sabagrea Road and Bridge project as part of the state government’s continuous oversight of critical infrastructure works.

In a statement signed by Sambo Sataria, Director, Media and Publicity, Tarabina commended the contractor for the quality and pace of work, noting that final grading and stone base had been completed on both the Sabagrea and Polaku axes of the road, while the casting of walkways on the bridge was also in progress.

The chairman further inspected Glory Drive Phase 3 Road, where asphalt laying was ongoing. He disclosed that the asphalt temperature was measured on site to ensure strict compliance with quality standards, expressing satisfaction with the contractor’s adherence to specifications. Other projects visited during the inspection tour included the Agbere–Aboitor–Osekwenike Road and Elemebiri Road, where clearing works are currently underway.

Tarabina was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary of the Directorate, Engr. Sampson Igodo, directors of the board, engineers, and other officials.
