Tarabina Lauds Contractors Over Pace Of Work Of Ongoing Projects

Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina has lauded contractors handling Government projects in the state for pace and quality achieved on the projects.
Engr. Tarabina made the commendation during an inspection tour to ongoing Nembe/ Brass road project on Wednesday August 14, 2024.
Speaking while inspecting the project the project monitoring boss noted that the project when completed would open up the Brass Island which has key natural economic assets such as the ongoing liquefied. natural gas, the brass fertilizer among others.
He assured the people of Nembe and Brass of the prosperity administration determination for the completion of the project in spite of challenges.
Responding, the project manager of the company, Engr. Julien said the first bridge on the road has been constructed, noted that work on the construction of the second bridge would commence in the coming days.
The chairman then proceeded to the ongoing Angiama/Oporoma bridge and commended the contractor for the milestones attained on the project.
He however said the directorate would continue to insist on standards and specifications, stressing that the projects are very significant for the present and future development of the state.
An interview with a Oporoma youth, Ebilade graduate, commended the prosperity administration for bringing their dreams to reality.
He said the people of Oporoma and other neighbouring communities were very grateful to the prosperity administration.
Ebilade graduate equally lauded the contractor for the pace and quality achieved on the project.
In his remarks, the site supervisor, Engr, John said work on the bridge has reached an advance stage noting that more milestones would be achieved in the coming days.
Engr. John said access road to Oporoma, Otuan and other neighbouring communities were undergoing construction with few metres left to reach the communities.
Other projects inspected includes: The new Yenagoa City GRA road, the
new commissioner’s and the assembly quarters.
The chairman was accompanied by the secretary of the board , Engr. Sampson Igodo, board members, engineers among others.
