Traditional Ruler In Sangana Warns Detractors Over Calls For NDDC Boss’ Removal

The traditional ruler of Moko-Ama in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, King Moses Theophilus, Kenibara Vii, the Amadabo of Moko-Ama has condemned in strong terms the planned attempt on the removal of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Chief Samuel Ogbuku.

The monarch in a statement, frowned at the continuous attack on the removal of the NDDC boss, that chief Ogbuku’s emergence as managing director of the intervention agency has brought light to the people of the Niger Delta, describing the attempt as failed.

According to him, Chief Ogbuku as NDDC boss is helpful to the people of Sangana particularly the managing director’s gesture to put to an end to the erosion that is bedeviling the community, pointing out that fighting Chief Ogbuku is like fighting the people of Sangana who are pleased with his leadership since he assumed office as managing director of the body.

He equally urged the NDDC boss to expedite action on work on the Sangana erosion project that is before him, that the people of Sangana are strongly behind him and will not allow retrogressive minds to distract him, noting that detractors are looking for cheap publicity due to the rising profile of the NDDC boss

The statement called on those who have taken “pulling him down syndrome” in the Niger Delta region as a means of survival not to come close to any Bayelsan holding an exalted position, stressing that the collaboration between the NDDC and the prosperity administration is the only thing needed in Bayelsa for development.

He warned the retrogressive forces in Niger Delta region to allow Chief Samuel Ogbuku to breathe in order to fulfill the purpose of his appointment by the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that the pulling him down syndrome in the Niger Delta must stop for the region to move forward.

The kenibara the VII commended the commission for taking deliberate steps to ensure that the commission’s works are felt across the Niger Delta, stating that Ogbuku’s “light up Niger Delta” initiative has impacted all the communities in the region.

It notes that NDDC has also demonstrated a commitment to fairness and transparency in the allocation of scholarship opportunities, ensuring that deserving students from across the region have access to educational support to further their careers, adding that the achievements speak volumes about the leadership’s commitment to the development of the Niger Delta.
