The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) family in Bayelsa State has been thrown into grief as death has claimed the lives of the State Legal Adviser and Deputy State chairman, Barr. C. Y. Kentebe and Hon. Reginald Onah respectively.
Shortly after securing judgement for the Party in a case Engr. John Sokare and one High Chief Ogokimi Epemu, a Police officer instituted against the State Chairman, Hon. Brisibe Henry Kpodoh and APGA on the 6th of November 2024, the late State Legal Adviser Barr. C. Y. Kentebe took ill. All effort to save him failed and he gave up the ghost on the 13th of January, 2024 at Gloryland Hospital in Yenagoa.
Earlier, on the 31 of December, 2024, the party mourned the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Reginald Onah in the line of a protracted illness while receiving treatment at Okpoama in Brass LGA.
At this time, the State Chairman, Hon. Brisibe Henry Kpodoh has summoned an emergency meeting of the State working Committee to deliberate on how to handle these tragedies and has declared seven days of mourning and APGA flags at all Wards, LGAs and the State to fly at half mast.
