The wife of the first military governor of Rivers State and the Amanyanabo of Twon-Brass Kingdom in Brass local government area of Bayelsa State, Her Majesty, Dr. (Barr) Dame, Evangelist, Queen Josephine Alfred Papapreye Diete-Spiff, JP, has raised an alarm over an impersonator, who is fraudulently and maliciously using her name and identity as the Queen of Twon-Brass Kingdom.
This was contained in a press statement on Tuesday signed by Queen Josephine Alfred Diete-Spiff and issued to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
Queen Alfred Diete-Spiff who is also the President of the Queens of the Niger Delta Initiative, said that she is legally married under the Act to His Eminence, King Alfred Papapereye Diete-Spiff, CFR, adding any individual impersonating her should be ready to face the full wrath of the law.
She said, “My attention has been drawn to the recent news about my marriage and name being ascribed to another, and my response is simple.
“I want to make it absolutely clear that I am legally married under the Act to His Eminence, King Alfred Papapereye Diete-Spiff, CFR. Therefore, any individual who falsely claims to be married to my husband should be aware that such a marriage is not only non-existent but also illegal, criminal, and void ab initio.
“Secondly, impersonation is a criminal offense that is severely punishable under the laws of Nigeria. Consequently, any individual impersonating me should be ready to face the full wrath of the law.”
