Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State, (Oil),has disclosed that Mr. Robert Lehman, the U.S. State Department’s Global Methane Program Manager and a delegation from Deloitte, to him marks a significant step in fostering innovative solutions to reduce emissions in our energy sector.
Speaking at the weekend vat Abuja, Lokpobiri said that the purpose of deepening the build collaboration on several methane abatement initiatives.
He stated:”I had the honor of receiving Mr. Robert Lehman, the U.S. State Department’s Global Methane Program Manager and a delegation from Deloitte, who visited with the purpose of deepening our collaboration on several methane abatement initiatives.

“As part of our commitment to ensuring cleaner and greener exploration of our crude oil resources, the FG, through NNPCL, has launched a groundbreaking methane abatement pilot project in the Niger Delta in collaboration with U.S. organizations.”
“This includes Deloitte and the Bureau of Energy Resources and we look forward to reducing methane leaks, and scaling sustainable practices across our operations in the country.”
